FRIENDS DINNER

February 21, 2019

Cozette had us FRIENDS over for a delicious meal. She is a great cook and she made us homemade CAFE RIO. Delish!  Afterwards we snuggled up on her couch and talked and laughed. We always have fun when we are together. I treasure their FRIENDSHIP!  I know I always say this but they really are THE BEST! I really missed all of those that couldn't join us today...next time!

We had this dinner the night that the East Winds were blowing 65 mph and she lives right by the mouth of the canyon in Farmington. It was crazy windy and freezing cold! (I just wanted to add that tidbit of info so I won't forget it)!!

TIME OUT FOR WOMEN

February 16-17, 2019

My friend Dawna and I attended TIME OUT FOR WOMEN this year. Usually Ashley comes with me but she is too busy with little ones...I missed her!  Anyway, me and Dawna had the best time! Oh my goodness it was so UPLIFTING and my SPIRIT ate this up!  I left feeling so EDIFIED and so excited to be better, try harder and focused on improving how to receive PERSONAL REVELATION. That was pretty much theme of the conference.

It was held at the Davis Conference Center and it was sold out. But we had really great seats!

Friday night SHERI DEW spoke and oh.my.word! It was SO GOOD! I loved everything she said and she shared awesome information about the PROPHET, PRES. NIELSEN. She is his wife, Wendy's, best friend an she is writing a book about the PROPHET and I cannot wait to buy it. It comes out in April. Anyway...she was so fantastic!

Saturday was INCREDIBLE. I loved all of the SPEAKERS but my favorites were EMILY BELLE FREEMAN and DAVID BUTLER...I follow them on Youtube and I get their weekly newsletter on DON'T MISS THIS!  They are fantastic.  Oh yeah...and ELAINE DALTON was there and she was fabulous. There were so many wonderful PRESENTERS. I love going to this each year. It is just one of my favorite weekends of the year.  I'm so happy Dawna loves it as much as I do!  Next year I hope Ashley can join us again. She loves it just as much.

 Each year they give out a new bag to every one. This canvas bag is the one we got this year.

 We like to buy their books. I bought some from Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler...they are my favorite!

VALENTINE'S DAY 2019

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I woke up extra early so I could run to KRISPY KREME DONUTS and get these super cute, super nummy pudding or chocolate filled DONUTS for my friends at work.

And then I was so surprised! Ashley came down and took me and my Mom out to dinner to CHILI'S for our VALENTINE'S DINNER. She is such a SWEETHEART!

 I love how thoughtful Ashley is to me and man alive I love her sweet kiddo's!

 Paisley loves her Grandma Shirley so much and Grandma Shirley adores her little Paisley!

Imagine my surprise when I came home to see  my bedroom door DECORATED WITH HEARTS and VALENTINES from Boston and Waylon. They sure know how to make my day!

They decorated my headboard too. Love these guys so much!

HEART ATTACKING THE GRANDPARENTS

Well, we have to stay true to our TRADITIONS! These boys wouldn't have it any other way. They sure LOVE this TRADITION!

We bought a VALENTINE TREAT (heart shaped chocolates) and we DOORBELL DITCHED their GRANDPARENTS after we plastered HEARTS all over their doors.  The boys get SO EXCITED to do this!  It's my favorite thing to see them bouncing up and down on the sides of the houses waiting for those doors to open so they can run and give big HUGS and scream HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! These boys LOVE their GRANDPARENTS and JOYCE AND JENNY!

 These boys love their PAPA! Grandma Melanie wasn't home darn it! But she got them back the next day by doorbell ditching them and leaving a treat on their doorstep!

 They love going to Grandpa Tom's and Mona's. They always get a treat (usually Moon Pies) and some cash to boot in return! They think that is the coolest thing ever!

 They get so excited to give Grandma Shirley loves. She always has a treat for them too!

 Nan and Pops are so cute! They get so excited and they love on these boys so much! They thank me over and over for including them in this fun tradition.

We love to do fun stuff like this for Joyce and Jenny since they don't have Grandchildren close by. They always have a yummy treat for the boys in return.

BOSTON WINS UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP!

I am beyond PROUD of BOSTON. He is DEDICATED. He WORKS HARD and PRACTICES and COMPETES against really hard kids. Some kids we know are older, heavier, more experienced, and some we know he probably doesn't stand a chance against. But he goes out there and FIGHTS and he may not win them all, but it makes him a better WRESTLER.

Well, BOSTON has worked really hard to be in the position he was in going into the biggest TOURNAMENT in the STATE. He was the one to beat. He was ranked #1.  What an honor!

Well, he WRESTLED hard and he WON 1ST PLACE. He WON the UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP!

So proud of you Boston. I loved being there CHEERING you on even though this gave me a major stomach ache full of butterflies!  It was all worth it seeing you standing on that 1ST PLACE PODIUM. Way to go Bud! And this is a WIN for Zach too. Zach COACHES him and PRACTICES with him and helps in every way to become the BEST he can be! You deserve 1ST PLACE too ZACH!

This trophy is almost as tall as he is. He won a SINGLET too and he got to keep the BRACKET poster too.

FEBRUARY FHE

February 10, 2019

I can't believe it's already time for another monthly FAMILY HOME EVENING! I love when my littles get together to have FHE.  Waylon wanted so badly to SING A SONG with me this time like I did with Boston last time. He couldn't wait to practice in my bedroom with the door shut so Boston couldn't come in. Ha! Ha!  And can I just say...he did an amazing job SINGING real loud so everyone could hear...A CHILD'S PRAYER.  He was amazing! I am SO PROUD of these kids being willing to SING in front of everyone and being PROUD of themselves for a job well done. It makes this Grandma's HEART swell!  I love these kiddo's!

This time I gave a lesson on a Jesus' first MIRACLE, changing WATER into WINE. I explained a little bit about how embarrassing it would have been for the wedding party to run out of WINE and how Jesus loved his Mother and wanted to help her. Then I had them watch a 2 minute video on it. Before I started the video I had them watch me pour clean pure WATER into a glass pitcher. While they watched the video I had Ashley slip some Grape Kool-Aid drops into the water. They didn't see her so when they finished watching the video and saw that the WATER had turned to WINE (Grape Kool-Aid) they were shocked!  Remington threw his arms in the air and shouted, "JESUS IS REAL! This is a MIRACLE!"  Oh boy, did I laugh!  I had to explain finally that Ashley did it! It turned our really well!

Afterwards we drank GRAPE KOOL-AID and make HEART SHAPED COOKIES in case I won't get the chance to do our VALENTINE COOKIES with all of them.  Then the kids played super hard and had a super fun time with their COUSINS!

 Believe it or not, Briggs did get some of his COOKIE in his mouth!

 And Sadie Bug did too!

 Boston's like...I guess mine is a HEARTBREAKER!  LOL! These were soft cookies that kept breaking!

 I was surprised that half the bottle of sprinkles weren't on Waylon's cookie!

 These COUSINS REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER!

I love how these two keep giving HUGS to each other. Seriously, it's the cutest!
