BLACK ISLAND FARMS PUMPKIN PATCH

October 12, 2019

Bill came to town to watch Graham play Football on Friday night. So he and Zander and Bella came over and we decided to go to BLACK ISLAND FARM to have some FUN and my favorite...the HAYRIDE to pick out PUMPKINS!

The kids had a blast going down the SLIDES, the CORN MAZE, the PIG RACES and the HAYRIDE to pick out big PUMPKINS!

It was the perfect day for them to get out and run and play and enjoy this FALL TRADITION. We were so glad when Mason and Graham showed up for the CORN MAZE and PUMPKINS.

I love spending time with my FAMILY and I just wished we had known in advance so Ashley and Lytton and their kiddo's could join us.

They had lots of FOOD TRUCKS. We got hot dogs, fish sticks, quesadillas, donuts and scones, etc...a variety of fun FOOD TRUCK FOOD!

Me and my sweet girl!

Then we hit the CORN MAZE. Those are not my favorite so I was happy that Zach can read the map!

This is my favorite  pic of the day! Mikell and Skylee look SO CUTE!

I don't know what Briggs is thinking here!

Next we waited in the longest line for the TRACTOR to pick us up for our HAYRIDE. They drove us out into the field to pick any PUMPKIN we wanted and they would come and cut it off the vine and clean it off for us. I love this part of FALL!

Skylee loves her big brother! He is always so helpful!

The sun was shining in their faces as I was trying to grab a photo

 Bella, Zander and Graham
When we chose the PUMPKIN we wanted we were to raise our hand so they could cut it off the vine. Mikell must have found hers!
Of course the Briggs had to pick the biggest PUMPKIN. Zach had to lug it back to the tractor!
Still searching for the perfect PUMPKIN!

 Waylon found his perfect PUMPKIN!

The boys found the ones they liked best.

Mason was so good to help with the kids. We were happy to spend time with him.
Bella chose a heavy PUMPKIN that I had to lug back to the tractor and it was heavy!!
 Graham and his pumpkin
Sister Sue loved playing with the pumpkins

I love this Buddy of mine!

I can't get enough of this cute baby girl! I love how she automatically smiles at the camera when I go to take a photo. She is just the cutest!

What a great day to spend with FAMILY making FUN MEMORIES!

READING SCARY STORIES BY CANDLELIGHT

October 11, 2019

We had a very busy night. We went to Grandma Shirley's Halloween Party, then opened gifts for Sadie's Birthday, and then we READ SCARY STORIES BY CANDLELIGHT. Zach and Kell went to a concert and I was in charge of taking care of their kiddo's.

My kids used to love to do this when they were little and I LOVE doing it with my Grandkids.

Since I am still in the process of adding on to my home, we don't have furniture yet and so we just had the kids on the kitchen floor, we lit 3 CANDLES and I started READING to the kids. It got hard because Skylee would cry if I put her down, she'd be good for about 1 minute, so Lytton tried holding her for me so I could READ and then Sadie Bug kept hanging all over me and the kids were just tired. We got through 2 books before I said, "Let's try this another night."  Ashley and Lytt still had about a 2 hour drive home so we called it a night but man, I sure love these Grandkids and our fun HALLOWEEN TRADITIONS!

We will be doing this again, no doubt about it!

LOL! Look at my face! I must have come to a point in the book where someone was really scary!

Now watch Sadie on my shoulder...
 Then over my shoulder...
Then in my face for a big kiss!
 And then on my lap!

Here you can see Sadie bug's moves. Ha! Ha!

This was a scratch and sniff Halloween book that the kids loved and then it got chaotic and I called it a night. LOL!
