LONGHORNS AT ASHLEY'S

June 26, 2016

So Ashley is renting part of her PASTURE to a guy that has LONGHORNS! There are 5 momma's and a few babies. It was so cool to look out Paisley's bedroom window and see them out there. They are HUGE animals and those HORNS! Geesh!
Next time I'm there I will take better pics of them. They were far away from me in this pic and I didn't have my good camera with me. But can you see those HORNS sticking up??

VISITING DOWNEY

June 25-26, 2016

I spent the weekend in DOWNEY again visiting Ashley and Lytton. Oh how I love it when Remington and Paisley get so super excited to see me. It melts me! Remington is the CUDDLIEST little guy and I love it! Paisley's smile can't get any bigger and she gives lots of BIG LOVES to me too. I enjoyed playing with them, and decorating Ashley's house. We got most of it done but still have more to do.

Sunday, Zach and Kell and the boys stopped by on their way home from IDAHO FALLS, where Zach hopes to be living soon. The little boys got so excited to see each other and they gave BIG HUGS to each other and had a ball playing together.
Remington giving Uncle Zach big hugs!

Earlier in the day Lytton needed me to ride over with him on the 4 wheeler to pick up the other 4- wheeler from where the pivots were. I wished so bad I would have had my camera or cell phone with me because it was so pretty! Oh wow! They own a ton of land that they are growing hay on and to see the water coming out of those pivots early in the morning on that green field was beautiful. I feel so blessed to be able to see that type of country. I love it! Then I drove the 4-wheeler home and I have never driven that far and boy did my thumb and whole hand get numb! How do people drive for hours on those 4 wheelers? It was super fun! I got to drive through mud and ditches and I loved it! Later, Zach and Lytton took the boys to same place and they had so much fun on the 4 wheeler's too!
Getting home from the big ride!

The boys had fun FEEDING THE PIGS except Waylon gave a small weed to the pig between the fence and the PIG accidently bit Waylon's finger when trying to get the weed. Ouch!

                                                            Wallowing in the mud!

They got to FEED THE CHICKENS too. But the best part was when they got to hop on Lucky, Ashley's horse, for a quick ride. They were heaven! It's always fun to go to Ashley and Lytton's house!

Waylon and Boston loved riding Lucky. Lucky is such a sweet loving horse. But he is so tall! These kids loved walking around the pasture.

Other fun things the kids did:
Do you see Paisley standing up on her own? For a month now she will take 3 or 4 steps and then crawls. We can't wait to see her running around with all the boys pretty soon!
                                               Playing with buckets of water!
Playing in the play room. They still need to set up the Foos Ball and Ping Pong Tables.

                                              Playing on the tree swing.

And we couldn't get enough of this sweet girl. Paisley loves showing off her new teeth. She has one more coming in right in front!

Man alive! I love this precious Paisley! She is the happiest baby I have ever seen! Seriously!

What a fun weekend I had with the BASTIAN'S. Oh how I love them all!

FATHER'S DAY 2016

June 19, 2016
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the great DADS out there! I am thankful for my DAD, and my SON and SON-IN-LAW. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing Zach and Lytton playing and teaching my Grandkids. They really are great Daddy's to those kiddo's!

My Dad was out of town so we didn't meet for a barbecue like we usually do. Zach and Kell went to Neal's and Lytton and Ashley stayed up in Idaho. But, I was happy when Ashley sent me this pics. I can just imagine Remington's Nursery teacher trying to catch a picture of him while he was running around :)  I love to see what the little ones make for their parents for FATHER'S DAY and Mother's Day too.
Isn't that the funniest smile of Remington? It cracks me up! I can just hear that funny laugh he's doing right there.

                                                          There's my cute Remington!
Look at blonde Remi's hair is getting!
Lytton and his cute family! Happy Father'sDay!

HIKING TWIN LAKES

June 17, 2016

Zach and Mikell invited me to go on a little HIKE with them up Big Cottonwood Canyon. I said ok, if it is a kid friendly HIKE I'll do it. Well we drove to SILVER LAKE and we had all intentions to HIKE to Mary Lake but as we got HIKING we decided to go up to TWIN LAKES instead. Seriously, I know it's KID FRIENDLY because Boston made it up the whole way but I was DYING! It was UPHILL the WHOLE WAY! I was thinking ok, soon it's going to even out for a bit, but no! I finally saw a shaded area with a few big rocks to rest. Several other adults joined me when they thought they could go no further.  I shouldn't have eaten a cheddarwurst hot dog on the way up there. I felt like I was going to throw it up the whole time! I told Zach and Kell to go on ahead. Zach said it just continued to get steeper and I wouldn't have made it. It's ok because I saw beautiful views from where I was at. I loved the LAKES and you get to check it out here:

This was at the beginning of our hike. All smiles here! How little I knew that we would be hiking to the freaking top of that mountain!
At first it started out like this. A nice path and I thought this is going to be great!
I would have done just fine had it stayed like this...but it did for about 15 minutes is all.
Then it started to go uphill and it was UPHILL THE WHOLE WAY! My aching lungs, butt, legs and feet! Dang! I shouldn't have eaten that hot dog first!
I love making fun memories with these two kiddo's.

I love this pic of these two!
I love this family! So happy they love hiking together!
Waylon got all tuckered out. I was so jealous that he was being carried on Zach's back!
My first big rest. This is so beautiful! But I kept going...

So this is where they ended up. The boys had fun playing around the water and throwing rocks. They had a picnic here too while I waited on my nice shady rock! Zach said i would have had to hike 15-20 minutes more but it was very steep.

                                                    I love family selfies!

I was happy when I saw them coming down the trail. Look at the top right hand side of this pic. You see all the steep rocks up there. Yeah, that's how it was the whole way up!
Coming back down to meet me!

I took this selfie of me above the lake while they kept hiking. Then 5 minutes after this guy came and threw up near me. He joined me by my rock. Soon there was 5 or 6 more people. I was glad I was on the big rock first! :)
Do you see how high up I was? That's ridiculous isn't it?
Then we found snow so Mikell made the boys a snowball.

Isn't this the cutest Pic of Waylon looking at his snowball? Then he took a big bite out of it! Yuck!
Then we started out descent down. Oh my aching knees!

What a fun day! Thanks for the fun memories! (and sore knees, butt and legs!) :)
