BOSTON'S NERF GUN PARTY WITH FRIENDS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite 8 YEAR OLD! Boston wanted to go to THE DART SIDE for his FRIENDS BIRTHDAY PARTY. He loves playing with NERF GUNS and we find BULLETS all over the place! Ha! Ha! 

I made his BIRTHDAY CAKE in the shape of a NERF GUN. It was actually made up of CUPCAKES.

I didn't go to the PARTY or else I would have taken a ton of photos to put on here but poor Zach and Kell were on their own with 14 of Boston's friends, plus Waylon, Briggs and Skylee. They had their hands full! I was so happy they got a few pics! :)

He had the time of his life and thought this was the best BIRTHDAY ever!!

FILMING FOR LDS LIVING MAGAZINE (THE BAPTISM DRESS)

I had the honor of sitting and talking to LDS LIVING for an interview on our story of THE BAPTISM DRESS that was in our house fire. My Aunt Joyce's Grandson, Dalyn Romig, is doing an internship for LDS LIVING and he wanted to tell our awesome story.

We filmed it at my niece, Stefanie's house. (It was her DRESS she wore 30 yrs ago on her BAPTISM DAY). They told me to wear a nice shirt and they wouldn't film below the waist so I could wear jeans. It was pretty casual but my nerves were getting the best of me.

I was a nervous wreck as they were getting the LIGHTING all set up and I have told that story a hundred times but as I was thinking of what to say my mind was all jumbled up! I was SCARED! Well, they told me I would probably have to tell the story several times and lucky for me I only told it twice. Then they asked me questions and I would have to say it a few different ways. It took hours and I was relieved when it was over. I always get emotional telling that story but I only cried once and cracked a little one other time.

After they FILMED me, they took photos of Hadley, my niece, Stefanie's daughter. She wore the BAPTISM DRESS and they had her twirling around a tree, and walking along a fence, etc... She looked adorable and it was a pretty cool experience.

Dalyn said he will be EDITING it and it will be on FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, AND YOUTUBE in the middle of August. I will let you all know when it is up and running.

I have wanted to send this story to THE FRIEND MAGAZINE for years. They said it would take about 12 years to get in there because of all of the other stories. So I was excited to help Dalyn with this project so I could get this STORY out there!

However...You all know what a freak I am about having people from High School see how fat I have gotten, this is a huge deal for me and now look what I have gone and done! I am putting myself out there for the WHOLE WORLD to see! Yikes! Super scary for me!  But, since you're my close FAMILY AND FRIENDS, I will let you know when it is up and out there. SPIDER MAN MOVIE WITH BOSTON!

Boston won a special MOVIE with me in his Golden Egg at Easter. He chose to see SPIDERMAN and I am so glad that he did! I loved SPIDERMAN! This was my favorite SPIDERMAN yet. We had so much fun eating POPCORN and being together. He sure is fun little dude to hang out with!

Man, I love this kid!

BOSTON'S 8TH BIRTHDAY PARTY WITH THE FAMILY

BOSTON turns 8 YEARS OLD on July 26th. Both sets of Grandparents will be out of town the next weekend so we had a FAMILY PARTY for him at the Beckstead's so we could give him our GIFTS and eat CAKE AND ICE CREAM. He was so excited! I loved capturing how SURPRISED and HAPPY with each GIFT.

I love this kid so much and I cannot believe he is 8 YEARS OLD! I am looking forward to his upcoming BAPTISM. IT IS GREAT TO BE 8!

8 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT BOSTON:

1. He is so SMART!
2. He is a great ATHLETE and so much fun to watch!
3. He is a really good BROTHER...Most of the time! I love watching him with them.
4. He is FUNNY. He is always making me LAUGH and I love being with him.
5. He knows every word to every SONG he hears! And I love it when he SINGS them to me.
6. He CARES about me. He is always worried about my feelings and I love him for it.
7. He loves to READ SCRIPTURES and he tells me his favorite Book of Mormon stories. I love the discussions we have about them.
8. He is one HANDSOME DUDE! I love how all the girls in his classes are already falling in love with him. Why shouldn't they? He is a sweet, smart, funny, athletic little  CUTIE!

This BIRTHDAY we spent a day picking out his own set of SCRIPTURES, A SCRIPTURE BAG (with red marking pencils), which he was over the moon about! And of course Pokemon cards and he wanted a 4 SQUARE BALL so bad! We had to go to a few stores to get what he wanted but I had a blast being with him! Of course I surprised him with 2 new BOOKS. He loves to read Magic Treehouse books so I got him a few more to add to his collection.  I always love to give BOOKS!

 From his other Grandparents he got a super cool QUARTERBACK THROWING NET GAME and NERF GUNS, AND MONEY. He was in heaven!

 Grandma Shirley is so silly! She makes her own cards out of magazines and always puts a funny age on them. The kids crack up over it!

 Giving big hugs to Mona and Grandpa Tom and thankful for the money they gave him.

From his parents he got a new MOUNTAIN BIKE. He is too tall for childrens bikes, but not quite tall enough for an adults. So he got measured for an ADULT XS. I can't believe how TALL he has grown! Oh...and his feet are now officially bigger than mine! What???

 He is really into NERF GUNS right now and they got him a DQ ice cream cake with a Nerf Gun on it and he was loving that!  Next week on his real BIRTHDAY, he is going to the DART SIDE for a FRIENDS PARTY and I am going to attempt to make a NERF GUN CAKE

FEEDING THE DUCKS

After watching Lion King, we went to Layton Park where there is some shade and we had a little PICNIC and I brought a big bag of BIRD SEED to FEED THE DUCKS! The kids loved it and I was so happy to watch them. We were happy that Tanner and her little boy joined us in feeding the ducks and playing at the park.

What a super fun day we had going to Lion King, Feeding the Ducks and Playing at the Park! I love these Grandkids so much and I am so happy I got them all day today! We were just missing Skylee!
