SOMEONE LOST THEIR FIRST TOOTH!

August 14, 2016

Boston has had a LOOSE TOOTH for just a few days really, and then when we got home from church last Sunday, he just WIGGLED it and Oh my gosh! IT FELL OUT! He didn't have to have his Daddy PULL IT OUT or anything. He was so excited and shocked! We all were! We couldn't wait for the TOOTH FAIRY to visit!

He put it in a bag, and placed it under his PILLOW, and the next morning he was elated to find a NOTE from the TOOTH FAIRY and 4 QUARTERS!

He told me the next morning he was pretty sure he heard the TOOTH FAIRY jiggling the QUARTERS!!  LOL!

Oh the JOYS of being a KID! I just LOVE this!

TAGGARTS WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS

August 17, 2016

I am BLESSED to have such great FRIENDS. I love that we still get together once a month. We have been getting together since we were released from the Young Women's Organization in 2005. Pretty impressive considering 3 have moved away. Yet, we still manage to get most everyone together monthly. I love these ladies so much they are the BEST OF THE BEST.

This month we drove to TAGGART'S for DINNER. We love it up there, eating outside. Everything on the menu is delish!

Afterwards we drove to MORGAN to see Stephanie Dickson's BARN where she is keeping her horses and will one day build a home. I will be sad for us when she moves!
Shelli, Janice, Cozette, Stephanie in the front row. Back row R to L: Suzanne B, Brooke, Me, and Leslie.

Oh! And I just remembered July YW Friends Dinner at Leslie Christensen's:
Suzanne B., Shelli, Kim, Brooke and Kris
                                                           Kris, Cozette and Janice
                                                            Janice, Me and Leslie
I love having great FRIENDS!

RIO OLYMPIC PARTY!

August 13, 2016

We usually have an OLYMPIC PARTY the night of OPENING CEREMONIES but we were going to be in Yellowstone that week. So we threw our big PARTY the next Saturday. We started out SWIMMING in Joyce's pool (we were going to do all of our swim competitions there but there were too many kids). We had fun in the pool and then we went back to Joyce's for the real fun!
                                               Grandma Shirley and Joyce
                                                                  Mikell and Waylon
Boston
Jessica was so funny! She did the slappy thing that Phelps and the other swimmers do before jumping in the water.
                                                               Reece and Jessica
                                                               Beau and Brody

                                                       Grandpa Tom

We each made food from a different COUNTRY or something to do with the OLYMPICS.
We had BARBECUE RIBS and MACARONI AND CHEESE from the USA (best mac'n cheese ever!) We had PIZZA and PASTA from ITALY. We had EMPENADA'S from ARGENTINA, GENERAL TAO'S CHICKEN from CHINA, PANCIT from PHILIPPEANS, CHEESE FONDUE and CHEDDAR BREAD from FRANCE, and a dish like CREPES from ROMANIA with the best stuffings ever! It was more of a dessert! We also had SWEDISH FISH and GERMAN CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES from GERMANY of course!

Jenny made OLYMPIC COLORED CANDY and I made POMMEL HORSES too.

So we ate at Joyce's cute table with all of the COLORS of the OLYMPICS. She had placemats, cups plates, bowls and utensils wrapped in all of the COLORS. Super cute!

Andy getting his ham and cheese Empenadas ready! He went to Argentina on his mission.
                                                  Dalyn and Jenny
                                                                 Italian pizza
                                                      Everyone preparing their food

These were the crepe like things Dalyn made from Romania. Those banana's had a brown sugar and butter glaze. Mikell died over them!

I made these POMMEL HORSES.
This is a sample of someone's plate!

Dad and Mona...we love when she cooks her Philippino food!
Madison loved the empanada's! (The darn sun coming thru those blinds!)

After dinner we went downstairs to PLAY our OLYMPIC GAMES.
Each ATHLETE had to register for a COUNTRY they would be representing and get a GATORADE.

We played TENNIS, DISCUS THROW, PING PONG, LONG JUMP, GOLF, and ran out of time for our GYMNASTICS and BEACH VOLLEYBALL. I took a ton of video but not many pics...I know you can't believe it right?

I tried to get a pic of everyone participating but sorry if I only got you in the videos.

TENNIS:

Dalyn won me for our match up for the GOLD MEDAL. I won SILVER!

LONG JUMP:
Dalyn and Brody had a tie so did a jump off for SILVER and BRONZE
Debbie did a great job considering her age and she is a girl! LOL!
                                                    Way to go Debbie!
                                                 Morgan was awesome too!
Andy won GOLD in this competition
                                                 Madison almost caught the boys!
Jessica did great even in a skirt!
Brody was fantastic and did the jump off with Dalyn for SILVER and BRONZE
ZACH was close to Dalyn and Brody
I got my Dad and Mona on video and my Mom and Joyce too. They were hysterical!

DISCUS THROW:

Mikell attempts to make a ringer!
                                                    Jessica came really close!
                                                        Mona gives it a whirl!
Brody with some help from Beau
                                                           Debbie's up next
Zach got a few points. We gave points for touching like in horseshoes!
Grandpa Tom gives it a try
That looks like it was going to be a ringer Morgan!
PING PONG:

In this PING PONG tournament you had 12 balls so 12 tries to get them in the cups. It was hard!

Mom showing off her GOLD medals! LOL! She thought she was so funny. She was representing Japan!

GOLF:
                                                   Grandpa Tom lines them up
Everyone did a great job in GOLF!

Then we took a break to watch the WOMEN'S TRACK RACE:

I love these cute USA colored balloons!
I was so mad that I started to erase our SCORE CARD before I took a pic of it! :(

But these are our TOP 3 ATHLETES in our FAMILY OLYMPIC GAMES:
Dalyn won GOLD for ROMANIA
Brody won SILVER for GREAT BRITAIN
Debbie won BRONZE for ITALY

I think everyone had a super fun time! Only 2 more years till our WINTER OLYMPICS!
