THANKFUL TREES

November 9, 2019

I LOVE TRADITIONS. They bring FAMILIES together, and provide lasting MEMORIES. I want these Grandkids of mine to have FUN MEMORIES of me and the simple, yet FUN things we do together.

Making THANKFUL TREES are one of those memories I want them to always have. I love it when they think of all of the things they are GRATEFUL for.  We start off just adding a few LEAVES to our TREE, and then each day they need to add a few more. It's my hope that by the end of the month those THANKFUL TREES will be so full!

I am THANKFUL for wildly fun and happy GRANKIDS!

So I just fill a Mason Jar with Rice and we went outside and snapped off some branches off the tree.
Last night me and Sadie made and cut out all of the leaves.
I wrote down whatever they said they were THANKFUL for. I asked Sadie what she was THANKFUL for and she first said JESUS and secondly she said her BLANKET and SPIDERS.

These two really got into this. It was so cute. Briggs was only thankful for HULK, and THOR. After listening to Waylon say what he was thankful for he finally said he was thankful for White and Red. I said are you THANKFUL for COLORS? He said yes. That's good because I said are you thankful for your home, or food and he said No! Just HULK! LOL!

Waylon was THANKFUL of course for SNAKES, the SUN, WATER and his DAD. He said he was THANKFUL for his Dad because he always plays with him, teaches him Wrestling, takes him hunting and listens to music that you hate Grandma!  Later he was THANKFUL for Mom, his Grandma's and Papa! Oh, and BUGS!

I can't wait to see how full these THANKFUL TREES get at the end of the month!

DECORATING FALL LEAF COOKIES

November 9, 2019

I love FALL! I love the cooler weather (60-70 degrees, no cooler than that!), and Spiced Cider, Colored Leaves and Football. I love wearing Sweat shirts with Capri's and Pumpkin Spice Candles!

But most of all I love spending time with my Grandkids DECORATING FALL LEAF COOKIES!

Yes, it's messy and we all eat more FROSTING than COOKIES but the kids LOVE it and so do I!

(I was hoping I would be in my house by now but I still have a week or two. I can't wait for new carpet and for all of my stuff to be back in my house! We are so close!)

This year I got to bring Sadie up to my house to DECORATE with the boys because Ashley and Lytton took Remi and Paisley to Kansas to buy a bull. So I watched Sadie and Kenzie. (They were really good kids!).

I was happy Sadie Bug was with us and got to have fun with her cousins!

Briggs really did a fantastic job with his cookies. He spread frosting better than the others. I couldn't believe it! He LOVED doing this!
Sadie ate SO MUCH FROSTING! Oh, and SPRINKLES too!
These leaves kind of looked like Footballs. Boston decorated his brown and was going to do a football but I didn't have any white frosting so he did a brown leaf with sprinkles.
 Waylon frosting a Football cookie

I love this sweet pea! So happy she was with us to decorate cookies!
And I love this face! My Briggs with yellow frosting on his nose. Not too bad considering how much frosting went into his mouth!

Oh wait...his face was pretty clean because his hands were covered in frosting!
This cutie just came home from winning 1st place in a wrestling match. So proud of him!
I had to be a SPRINKLES NAZI otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell what color their leaves were!

Oh I love spending time doing fun things with my Grandkids!

ELECTION DAY NOV 2019

November 5, 2019

ELECTION DAY is a LONG day for us but it's always kind of exciting and I'm always anxious the night before, praying that all of my POLL WORKERS will show up, that there are no problems with equipment and that set up goes smoothly. I have to be to work at 6am in case a poll worker doesn't show up and I have to call a replacement. We used to have to stay until midnight, or later, but now with the new equipment we usually leave around 9:30-10pm.

This Election was a CITY ELECTION and all of the cities in DAVIS COUNTY pay us to run their ELECTIONS. The Municipal Elections are usually pretty mellow and doesn't usually cause too much stress, unlike Presidential Elections. This year was no exception. It went off pretty dang smooth!

I cannot tell you how awesome my co-workers are. Seriously, the Elections run smooth because we have the best staff. They are so smart and hard working. It's no question why Davis County is one of the best County's in the State. I am blessed to work with such awesome people!

Working with these two is always a good time!
Curtis Koch, my big boss! He is the Clerk/Auditor.
My best Buds at work, Michelle and Dawna. I would not enjoy my job if it weren't for these two!
Amy and Julie. I love these ladies! They are totally amazing, hard working, and FUN!
David and my good friend Lisa (I'm in book group with her) and lots of other great workers working fast and hard!
 My boss, Brian
I love this pic because it has Lori and my two friends I miss so much. They came back to help us a few days a week during Election Day, Amber and Darla! These three are so smart and do an amazing job! You can't get better!!

These are our Temporary Workers that come in for about 6 weeks during each Election. They are fantastic workers and they are usually my best Poll Managers and workers and Lori steals them from me! Totally not fair! But they good!

Well, another Election down, and now we gear up for 3 HUGE ELECTIONS next year! It will be a crazy year that's for sure. Presidential Elections are always insanely crazy and busy!

WAYLON IS A BEAST AT WRESTLING!

November 2nd and 9th,  2019

I was so happy I finally got to see WAYLON WRESTLE! I loved it! He just goes after it and I couldn't be more proud of this little guy. As soon as the REF tells him to, he goes right after his opponent instead of what the other little boys kind of hum haw around. I loved that he was trying some new moves and he NEVER GAVE UP. I am more proud of him for that than anything, even when he was WRESTLING really hard more experienced WRESTLERS.

When I watched him in Morgan he took 2nd PLACE!

The next week in Pleasant Grove he took 1st PLACE in his division, and 2nd place when he wrestled a year up! Way to go Waylon!

He was so proud of himself and so was I! Way to be a BEAST out there WAYLON!

Boston also took 1st place and then he wrestled 4th graders and took 3rd. Little Briggs will be starting next year at age 3 and I would watch out for whoever he wrestles. He will be the real beast!

And this Super Hero had a hard time staying off the mat! He cracks me up!

PAISLEY CUT HER HAIR!

November 1, 2019

We knew it was only a matter of time before one of Ashley's kids CUT THEIR HAIR! Well, it did happen. Paisley got a hold of some scissors and not only did she cut her My Little Pony's hair, but she took her braid and cut 6 inches of it off! Plus she gave herself some bangs! I was devastated when Ashley sent me this pic but then when I saw the second pic, she still has long hair. Ashley had measured it the day before and it was clear down to the middle of her bum! Dang it! I wish she hadn't done it. She could have done a much worse job, and we are so thankful she didn't!!!

Doesn't it look like she cut it clear up to her shoulders? Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe it!
 Look at that! Oh my!
But it's still long and she does now have some bangs!
Man, I just love this little STINKER!

TRICK OR TREATING OCT 2019

October 31, 2019

After taking the kiddo's around some of our offices TRICK OR TREATING at work, we came home and man, it was FREEZING COLD! So I stayed in and passed out CANDY while Zach took the boys out. Mikell and Skylee stayed in too. It was just TOO COLD! We had to take our pictures out front first though. The boys had a blast TRICK OR TREATING!

Oh my heart! She is the cutest little thing!

When Briggs saw that Boston changed out of his skeleton costume into a football player, he had to change up his costume too. He was now a football playing, wrestling, Captain America. He is a character!
Waylon lost his scary Zombie mask!
And a wild and crazy ELEPHANT joined this circus!

Over in Idaho Ashley and her family had so much fun at their TRUNK OR TREAT and then there were a bunch of families that headed over to the church for even more TRICK OR TREATING but the kids had so much CANDY they skipped that part and went to Flag's West for a warm meal!
Look at all those cute costumes! I love that Ashley put on a cute unicorn costume, and I am totally not surprised that Lytton dressed up as Super Man! LOL!!

This was a super fun HALLOWEEN!
