49ERS/CARDINALS GAME

November 12-14, 2016

I couldn't believe it! I got to see a real 49ERS game! I have always been a 49ers fan and my Aunt Joyce and cousin, Jenny just moved from Phoenix, so of course they love the CARDINALS.  My grandson Boston is obsessed with the CARDINALS right now. So...this trip was the most spur of the moment trip I have ever planned! Honestly, like in 10 minutes it was decided. I didn't think it was really going to happen because for some weird reason, flights to Phoenix are always expensive. So when I got onto Southwest Airlines and saw that it was $44 one way, I thought I had got on the wrong website. So Jenny checked it out and seriously it was a special for $44! We booked it right then and there!

Before we knew it, we were flying to PHOENIX to see our two RIVAL TEAMS playing each other.
Waiting in the airport for our flight

We flew over the Grand Canyon

Mom was nervous to wear our 49ERS t-shirts, but holy moly I bet 40% of the fans there were 49ers fans! We had 49er fans in front of us, next to us and behind us! It was so much fun! All the guys sitting by us kept giving us fist bumps when 49ers made a touchdown or intercepted the ball, etc... Mom got beer spilled on her and the guy felt so bad he offered to buy her one. She declined.

The noise in that place was insane! I couldn't stop smiling though, for reals, I was there and just couldn't believe it!

Everyone in the stadium booed KAEPERNICK when he came out, me included! He's giving my team a bad name!

If you zoom in you can see Kaepernick kneeling right in front of the front bald dude next to the water jugs.

When the National Anthem was being sung, a real live EAGLE flew around the stadium. It was super cool! I took video of it.

We had the most excellent seats! We were on the 40 yard line, 36th row! It was AWESOME!!

The GAME was really good! The 49ers tied the game with 2 minutes left...then at the last second, the CARDINALS kicked a FIELD GOAL and won it! I was bummed for about 2 seconds, and then was like it's ok cuz it was such a great game!! My 49ers suck this year. We are 1-7.  (Big Thumbs Down!)

We all had the best time. We thought this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to see an NFL game, but afterwards we thought this would be an awesome once a year thing! Ha! Ha! Wouldn't that be cool?

I loved that my Mom came because I knew this was one thing she has always dreamed of doing. She LOVES FOOTBALL! And we both got to check it off our BUCKET LISTS!

Check our my pics of the game here and then I will go back to what we did BEFORE the GAME!

On the way to the game!
We were a little early for the game so we took lots of selfies. Can you believe we're here?

We did the best we could to take a group picture...they made me throw away my selfie stick before coming in. (Super Sad Face!)

This girl right here is so freakin' excited!
                                                                             Warming up
We walked right down to the field before the game. We were all so stoked!
We drank Coke Zero and Popcorn from souvenir cups and bucket

Even though she really didn't need these binoculars because we had awesome seats, it was still fun to see the players really up close!

They kept showing this phrase and the audience kept repeating it and it was kinda cool.

We're RIVALS when it comes to NFL TEAMS!
I had to get this pic of FITZGERALD  for Boston. It's his favorite player!
                                                              There's my 49ers team!
Another Fitzgerald shot. He is a great guy both on and off the field!
Perhaps this might be a good choice next Presidential Election!
                                                 Jenny wearing her Fitzgerald Jersey!
                                                                      We had a blast!

                                                            Practicing before the game
The Cardinals run out of this blow up Cardinal and then fireworks go off. Pretty awesome!

                                                              The Cardinal Cheerleaders

I was hoping that the Cardinals would miss their Field Goal so we could go into Overtime. I did not want this game to end. It went so fast. What a wonderful experience!

After the game we met up with Joyce and Jenny's next door neighbor and friend that worked with Joyce. Her name is Paula. We ate at a great Sports Bar and Hamburger joint called Zipps! Delish! We watched some of the Patriots/Seahawks game there. Then we went home and zonked out! We had to wake up at 3:00 am to be to the airport by 4:00 where our plane would land at 7:30 so I could get to work ASAP. I got there at 9;00 am and had to work til 7:30 pm. Yes I was exhausted but it was so worth it!

Ok...so now we are going to go backwards. Before the game we shopped the Outlet Mall right next to the stadium... Jenny bought another purse! Ha! Ha!

Before shopping we went for a little ride to see the PHOENIX TEMPLE. We felt so guilty for attending a game on the Sabbath and Joyce thought it was a little sacriligious to be in our jersey's before the game at the temple but we wanted to see it and take pics.

The gates were locked so we couldn't go all the way in.

Before that we went to breakfast at The Good Egg with two of Joyce's friends from work, Tammy and Lorraine. They were really sweet cute ladies and we had fun listening to them give Joyce an update on everything that's happened since she left. I had Eggs Benedict! Delish!

The day before...we flew into Phoenix and went to pick up Joyce's granddaughter, Jaden. She is 15 and such a sweet girl! Then we picked up Jared. I miss Jared! And we met Joyce's ex-husband and my Uncle, Gary and his wife, Eloise. I know our family is weird spending time with our exes but it's so great! I hadn't seen Gary since I got married in 1987!

We ate at OREGANO'S and it was delish!  It was fun spending time with Jared and Jaden and after we ate we went to the mall to buy FOOTBALL JERSEYS. Boston wanted a FITZGERALD JERSEY so bad! So we got him and Waylon and Jenny one. I wanted to buy Remi a 49ers jersey but they didn't have them there. I got him and Lytton something else though!
                                                        Jared and Joyce
                                                       Jaden and Jenny
                                                             My Mom and Me
3 people could have been filled with this ziti. So delish though! Jared took all of our leftovers.
                                                               Gary and Eloise

After the mall we took Jared home and we picked up Collin, Joyce's Grandson and took him to get some frozen yogurt.

We had a fun day and night and I just could't wait for tomorrow and the BIG GAME.

This was a really fast, spur of the moment trip and it just didn't last long enough but I had a blast! I'm so thankful I got to see my 49ERS play in real life!

When I got home the next night, I gave Boston and Waylon their jerseys. Let's say it's been 2 days and Waylon has slept in his and has wore it everyday! Every time Mikell tries to get him to take it off he freaks out and cries! Boston was so happy to wear his to school.

They were so happy their CARDINALS won and Boston said Grandma why do you love the 40 whiners! Boo!
