HOUSE REMODEL UPDATE

August 25, 2019

My HOUSE REMODEL is coming along nicely. I am over the moon excited for what happened today. My kitchen went from this...
 To this:
You can't really tell what color it is because it is so dusty here. But after it's swept up and mopped up you can see all the different colors in this floor. This is in my kitchen
This is my kitchen looking into the great room. I am going to carpet in that room.

I am so thankful for Zach and Neal, Mikell's Dad. They worked hard getting my floor done. They had some real problems to figure out and they did it. They did it well and I couldn't be more grateful!

When it is all mopped up I will post another pic.  Zach and Neal also did Zach and Kell's floor downstairs and it looks amazing. We are all so excited that this huge project is almost done!

Paint starts this week! Then cabinets and appliances, finish work and then carpet! Yipee!

STACY'S BABY SHOWER

August 25, 2019

I am thrilled that my niece, Stacy, is having a BABY BOY next month. She is going to make an awesome Mommy!

Today we went to her house for a BABY SHOWER and it was so great. We were able to visit with my brother Scott, his wife, Jan, and Stacy and Shaelyn. We don't see them very often so it is always nice to be able to visit with them.  Stacy got lots of great stuff to help her get ready for this BABY.

My brother is an avid hunter, and Stacy likes to hunt with him. So I am thrilled that she is naming this BABY, and my brother's first GRANDSON, HUNTER SCOTT!  I love it! I am sure this BABY is going to bring a ton of JOY to this FAMILY!

Stacy is so cute with her cute prego belly! And cute Grandma Shirley

My cute niece, Stefanie and my cute sister Debbie
This table so beautifully decorated. They always do an amazing job!
Stacy's friend own her own bakery and she made these darling cookies! I just loved them! Super cute!

These were the cutest little BLT SANDWICHES!

My oldest sister, Debbie, my brother, Scott, my Mom and Me...so happy we could snap this photo!

My mom sure loves this guy. She is always telling people she would always call him her JOY TO THE WORLD!  It was so great seeing my brother SCOTT!

Right before we left, Diane and Morgan came with Baby Calli. Jan and Scott's little Granddaughter, Hattie wanted to hold her. They are both adorable!
Hattie and Calli...SO CUTE!

WAYLON'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!

August 19, 2019

I cannot believe this day has finally come! WAYLON started KINDERGARTEN! He was so looking forward to this day so he could be in the same SCHOOL as Boston. He was a little big nervous but he did so well! He is in afternoon KINDERGARTEN so Boston gets to pick him up from his class and walk him to the car. Both boys are super excited about that! Waylon loved playing at recess and he was so proud the next day when they did a fire drill. He said he was the only kid not mortified by it. He wasn't scared at all! LOL!

This cute KINDERGARTENER had the best day! And I am so happy about that! I couldn't wait for him to get home from school and call me to tell me all about it!

I love this pic so much. It makes me wanna cry. Two awesome guys making their way to a whole new world for Waylon. I pray so hard that he loves it so much!
 Cute little KINDERGARTENER!

Poor little Briggs had a tough time having Waylon leave for school. He wanted his hair done, and his back pack on cuz he wanted to go with Waylon. He cried for a long time afterwards. He was really missing his playmate. He thinks Way Way is the best friend ever!

Funny little Briggs...he can't wait for Kindergarten to start for him...3 more years to go!

This is the cutest photo! I love how Boston takes care of his brother! Waylon was so excited to tell me that he loved seeing Boston twice during the day and he was thrilled about that!

REMINGTON'S 1ST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN

August 19, 2019

I am beyond excited that Remington is a KINDERGARTENER! He was pretty excited too. He is such a happy go lucky kid that doesn't get nervous over anything really. He wasn't nervous to start SCHOOL just excited to see friends. I was so happy when Ashley sent me lots of photos and videos of his FIRST DAY!  In Idaho, they only go to school Monday thru Thursday...lucky kids!

When he came home from school Ashley videotaped his responses. She asked him how he like KINDERGARTEN. He said, "It was the GREATEST!" She asked, "What was your favorite part? He said, "All of it! It was all so GREAT!"  I love that response and I hope it will last throughout the year!

I just love this happy kid so much! I hope he just loves school so much!
 Remi and his Teacher.
Here is Remi's friend, Porter and his teacher. They have 13 kids in their class. I love how all the boys wear cowboy boots in these parts!

 Typical Remi!
Oh, I love this pic but it makes me kind of want to cry...he is growing up! Already to walk these school halls alone. My big Kindergartener!

This FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL WAS TWO THUMBS UP FOR REMINGTON!

HALE THEATER...CINDERELLA

August 17, 2019

I was not looking forward to seeing CINDERELLA at Hale Theater to be honest. It was the Roger and Hammerstein version and I was not impressed when I saw it at Tuacahn last year. Joyce and Jenny couldn't go so I asked Dawna and Lori from work if they would like to join us and they were excited to come. We took them to CHUBBY'S for lunch before we went to the play. They liked it!

Well, we went to the play and I have to say it was SO GOOD! In fact, I thought it was INCREDIBLE! The SCENERY is FABULOUS! The best I have seen. It was so impressive! It kept changing and I just could not get over it! The singing was great, the acting was good and I thought they were way better than the play at Tuacahn.  So happy I got to see this. You need to go see it too!

I am glad that Dawna and Lori got to join us but I feel so bad that Joyce and Jenny couldn't come!

BOSTON'S BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER!

August 16, 2019

Boston had his first TACKLE FOOTBALL GAME of the year and I am not exaggerating...he was AWESOME! I am not just bragging because I'm his Grandma. This kid played QUARTERBACK and he THREW awesome passes that resulted in TOUCHDOWNS. He ran for and made a TOUCHDOWN and when he played DEFENSE he SACKED THE QUARTERBACK 10 TIMES!

His whole TEAM played awesome. They were so much fun to watch. They won 35-0. They have the best COACH too. Zach is the COACH for his team. I love that he lets each kid run the ball and gives them chances to play different positions. The parents love that about him too.

Mikell did a fantastic being the TEAMS MOM. She made each parent a lanyard pouch with their kids photo (that she had taken) in it and on the back a list of all of the players and their numbers so they can get to know all of the players. She made a super cute vinyl BANNER that the team runs through at HALF TIME and it is so much fun for those kids. Then she made a cute TOUCHDOWN BUCKET so when we make a TOUCHDOWN she runs down the line shaking the BUCKET and each family can donate change or dollars to go towards the end of season banquet for awards, etc... She made cute themed treats too. She ordered team hoodies, T-shirts and socks. I was so proud of her efforts to make all of the parents and families get pumped and excited for this TEAM. It paid off! Everyone was so thankful for her work to bring this TEAM SPIRIT! GO KAYSVILLE KODIAKS!!

This was the lanyard she made of Boston. She took his pic after a hot and sweaty practice but he is still super cute! Below is the back of the lanyard.

Boston wears those bright yellow cleats and I am so glad. I can always find him out on the field with those cleats on!

Here is the cute BANNER Mikell made for the kids to run through each game.

 The Team's Youngest Cheerleader!
Skylee always has a smile on her face. She is such a fun little girl! I love her football leggin's!
