ADULT SIBLING DINNER

Dec 20, 2013

We had our ANNUAL SIBLING DINNER at Mom's house. I usually do the cooking for this one and we usually try to have something on the fancier side, but with my not feeling so good, and then having my tooth pulled I just didn't feel up to doing it, so I just made a HONEY SPIRAL HAM and had Mom, Deb and Diane make stuff to go with it and Mona brought the yummy rolls. It turned out good and it was a nice, relaxing evening. After we ate we opened our GIFTS and then we got a CHRISTMAS SURPRISE. Santa (aka Steven) showed up and we each got to sit on his lap and tell him what we wanted for CHRISTMAS. He was funny when he said HO! HO!HO! We helped him make it sound less Zombish. He had a great time too. I look forward to this night being with just my SIBLINGS and PARENTS and GRANDMA.

Mom loves to decorate the tables. She always changes it up each year. I love to see what she'll do next.
Mom gives our TOAST this year.

After dinner we take our ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PICTURES:
                                                                             Mom
                                                                My brother, Scott
I like this pic of Scott and Mom
                                                               Grandma Hobbs
                                                 My oldest sister, Debbie

My oldest brother Steven, poses as Santa with Diane

Every year Steven gives Scott a new duck of some sort because he knows how much Scott loves duck hunting.  Scott has a houseful of them! This year he got a talking Duck Dynasty Duck.

FIVE GENERATIONS

Dec 2013

Mom and Grandma came up while Ashley and Lytton were down and I mentioned that we don't have a 5 GENERATION picture yet with Remington. So, although we didn't look very good we snapped a photo. We just don't know how long we'll have Big Grandma with us. She is 99 years old! We are so lucky to have FIVE GENERATIONS in our FAMILY.
Great, Great Grandma Hobbs, Great Grandma Shirley, Grandma Suzie, Mommy Ashley and Baby Remington.

SANTA SURPRISE!

Dec 2013

We got a wonderful SURPRISE! SANTA surprised us all when he knocked on our door. This SANTA looked familiar and sounded just like STEVEN! The WalMart Manager gave Steven this SANTA SUIT. He was so excited to show Boston and Remington. Boston wouldn't go near him. He then had to put his twist to it and dressed up as the GRINCH SANTA who promised to STEAL OUR CHRISTMAS!

Remington with Santa. Good thing he's too little to be scared.
Mikell told Santa what she wanted for Christmas
The Grinch Santa: he wants to steal our Christmas!
Remington just chillin' with the Grinch
Boston would only get next to the Grinch if he could sit on Daddy's lap.

I love this pic. Look how cute they are especially when they give big smiles!

UGLY SWEATER, GINGERBREAD HOUSE PARTY

Dec 2013

We combined PARTIES and had an UGLY SWEATER, GINGERBREAD HOUSE MAKING, MINUTE TO WIN PARTY. It was a lot of fun! My mom definitely won the UGLY SWEATER portion, Jess and Brody won the GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST, and they won the MINUTE TO WIN IT GAMES too. Check out some of these pics:
Boston did not like wearing his ugly sweater!
Grandma Shirley won this ugly sweater contest. She made her sweater and accessories!
Mikell and Boston sporting their ugly sweaters
Andy at least wore green. Zach didn't have time after work to get him a sweater.
Diane, Me, Morgan and Big Grandma. I love her snowman pajama pants. She is so cute!
My family. Notice Zach in every single picture! Why does he have to do this?
Ashley and Lytton take a selfie
Zach and Jessica race against the clock to stack their cups into a Christmas tree with one hand.
Lytton and Andy do a great job
It looks like Debbie kicked butt in this game!
Brody and Ashley did a great job
Diane knocked Morgan over when one of her cups fell.
They both did a fantastic job. Good job Mona and Zach
Brody throwing snowballs (marshmallows) in the buckets
Morgan did a great job. I am really impressed with all of the girls and their skills.
Mikell was awesome at this game
Mona makes lots of points for her and Dad
Big Grandma thinking we're all nuts!
In this game we see how many ornaments they can balance in 60 sec without tipping the paper towel roll over.

This was my favorite game and I have the best video of everyone trying to get the red pom pom to stick to their Vaseline noses. No one could do it but Lytton and Mona came close.

                                                                       What the?

I a getting all the games together in my ugly sweater that is 5X too small :)
Boston with his gingerbread house in the background

Morgan and Andy made a log cabin out of pretzel sticks. So clever!
Mona made a wagon full of candy. So cute!

The Robinson's are the winners! They did a cute North Pole
Lytton's started out as a Statue of Liberty, then it turned into the Empire State Building, then it turned into the Tower of Babel with people lined up to climb to the top.
