If today wasn't exciting enough with the Cattle Drive, when we got home an exhausted Lytton put up a PIG PEN and we went to Malad to purchase 6 PIGS! I bought one, Zach bought one, Tanner and her mom bought one and members of Lytton's family bought one. Ashley will FEED and take care of them for us and in the Fall they'll be ready for slaughter. Mmm..BACON, SAUSAGE, PORK CHOPS, AND PORK ROASTS AND RIBS!
Mine is a girl and at first I thought I'd name her Petunia, but now I'm liking PATSY. What a noisy bunch they were trying to catch them and get them in their pens. Lytton's did a great job and this is just up Ashley's alley! They can now say they are PIG FARMERS! Ashley will start raising and selling them if this goes well for her. Next she will work on getting her CHICKENS and her HORSES back here in her yard!
