This is kind of long but you have to read through it all, you just won't believe what happened to Zach!
On Memorial Day I got home from the Splash Pad with Waylon and Zach and Kell came home from Lagoon and Zach was not feeling good at all. He was in so much PAIN! He couldn't tell if it was coming from his KIDNEY or his BOWELS. He just was in the worst PAIN I had ever seen him in. I have had KIDNEY STONES 4 times so I figured that's what was going on with him.
Kell was putting kids to bed and had a fussy baby so I rushed Zach to the new little U of U Hospital Facility they have in Farmington. When they saw how gray Zach was, the pain he was in, and how nauseated he was, they too suspected KIDNEY STONES and said rush him to Lakeview Hospital cuz we don't have an ultra sound machine or anything like that.
I drove as fast as I dared to the HOSPITAL and oh I tell you it's hard to see your kids in pain, even harder when they are grown adult men, who have a high tolerance to pain, hardly be able to handle it. I just knew exactly what he was feeling because I had been through it several times. It truly is worse than labor pains. It is just so PAINFUL!
They took Zach in for a CT SCAN and found that he did indeed have ONE KIDNEY STONE. They gave him some MORPHINE and TORIDOL. We got home super late, or early in the morning, would be more accurate. But then we realized they forgot to give us the funnel to pee in so he could catch the STONES. So we went back and got one and then we had to wait forever at the pharmacy to get his medicine!
Zach was in lots of pain and I was so tired!
The next day he got worst! Mikell ended up taking him back to the HOSPITAL at around 3:30 and they ended up doing SURGERY that night. He was ticked! He did NOT want SURGERY! But the doctor went in and grabbed those TWO KIDNEY STONES! (Not ONE STONE like the CT Scan showed!) And put in a stent.
The next day he was still in so much PAIN...What the heck! He knew he'd feel better the next day once they removed the very uncomfortable STINT. Once removed, the Doctor said you will be in pain for 24 hours but then you should be OK.
Well, the PAIN GOT WORST! At 2:00 in the morning he was dying in PAIN again like he was when he first had the kidney stones. Well, that late afternoon, he PASSED 2 MORE KIDNEY STONES!
Well, I couldn't believe it! How could a CT SCAN, and the DR. during SURGERY miss that he had a total of 4 KIDNEY STONES!! That poor guy! Man, he was on so many DRUGS and he felt like crap for a few days later getting all the antisthesia out of his system and all the drugs like MORPHINE AND DILODID, HYDROCODONE, ETC...
Now here is a kicker...we thought for sure it was caused by his COCA COLA intake but you know they take the stones to a lab and it was caused by an excess of AIRBORNE! He had too much VITAMIN C. He was taking it a lot cuz he did not want to get sick and he was surrounded by everyone having colds and gunk and that's what caused his kidney stones! Craaaazy!
So happy he is now feeling better!
This pic was of Zach when I took him to the ER.
The pic below was right before SURGERY. This is exactly what he thought about surgery! He wanted to go his whole life without having a single SURGERY. Sorry Zach!
Oh Zachary!
