DINOSAURLAND!

June 9-10, 2017

Ashley invited me , Grandma Shirley and Joyce to come with her family to DINOSAURLAND. Remington is so into DINOSAURS and we knew he would just love it!

So we drove out to VERNAL on Friday and the kids had a ball SWIMMING in the hotel pool. We had fun with the kiddo's and they loved playing in our room. Joyce was so cute teaching Remi how to play games on her IPad while we watched the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and we were so happy with the results of that! Go Golden State Warriors!!

The next day we woke up and went to DINOSAURLAND. It is so different than I remember. We first went to the museum where they have the fun DINOSAURS outside to take pics with. The kids got to dig for fossils and Remi was so cute! I have the cutest video of him talking about all the bones! It was fun to see him get so happy over seeing all of the FOSSILS!

Then we went to the QUARRY and that was fascinating to me. I had no idea that they built the building over the mountain because there were so many BONES! It was SO COOL!

Afterwards we drove to FLAMING GORGE and were terribly disappointed when we got behind this huge OVERSIZED LOAD! It took forever to get up the mountain and I was ticked that the cops in front and behind it, didn't pull over after awhile so people could pass. There were motorhomes overheating and it was just awful! Well, that made it so we missed the DAM TOUR! We were bummed because we wanted to see that. Instead, we just got out took a few pics and decided to go home.  It was a long drive for Ashley and she felt she was in the car the whole day!

But everyone had fun and that night when I was on the phone with Ash, Remington said, "Mommy, can we please go back to see the DINOSAURS again?...TRIP SUCCESS!  He loved it and it was really just for him. So happy I could experience it with them. Thanks Ashley for inviting us!

Then it was time for SWIMMING:

Then we came back and got the kids showered and they loved hanging out in our room until it was their turn in the shower!

 Paisley climbed right in bed with Joyce to watch the Basketball game!

Then next day we headed off to see the DINOSAURS:

 He was mesmerized by the dinosaur bones. The ones laying down he kept saying, "They need to take care of these. They need to fix them."

 These kids are so lucky to have the best GREAT GRANDMA ever! They love Grandma Shirley!

 I cannot believe how many bones are embedded into this mountain side. Incredible!

 We enjoyed DINOSAURLAND and it made for a fun day trip!
