Ashley was beyond excited when her FIRST SHIPMENT of CHUNKY KNIT BLANKETS arrived in her front yard. Tons of boxes were delivered....500 BLANKETS! She had been waiting for this day for almost one year!
Everything that could go wrong with starting her own business, did go wrong! It took so much work and effort to get a product just right and communication with China wasn't always easy, and she had hoped to get her blankets before the Christmas season and that didn't happen. Then they were ready to be shipped and it was the Chinese New Year...they actually shut down everything for this very long holiday season! When they finally opened and they were ready to ship again the CORONA VIRUS shut down China! Again, no blankets shipped. Then the USA closed its borders and nothing was being allowed into the States from China! It didn't seem like it was ever going to happen but today, she was shocked to see a van delivering tons of boxes with her BLANKETS in it!
She will be working with Amazon, and Etsy and working boutiques trying to sell these warm, really cozy blankets! They are so soft and you just want to cuddle in them all day!
I am so proud of her for her long hours, hard work and determination to try to get this business started.
I have to say I am very fond of her company name. It's called ONE SALTY LEMON...named after her mom's strong desire to eat salty lemons way too often! 😉
