Waylon has had a very hard month! He has battled C-DIFF which is extremely hard to beat, but he did it!! On top of C-Diff, he had RSV, and EAR INFECTIONS. There were times we were really worried about him. He lost 5 lbs in less than 2 weeks and he looked so gaunt. It was terrifying actually. I don't know how Mikell and Zach kept going through endless sleepless nights, and trying so hard to get him to drink or eat anything. They gave him drops of water by the straw because he would not take a bottle or swallow from a cup. We were relieved when he would finally eat Pedialyte Popsicles!
We were so happy that he would take the medicine and that his body was responding to it without having to take him back to Primary Children's Hospital. After he kicked the C-DIFF'S BUTT, Mikell took him to the EAR, NOSE THROAT Specialist and they said he needed TUBES in his ears because he cannot take ORAL ANTIBIOTICS (that's what gave him the C-Diff) if his ears were to become infected again. He checked them and sure enough he had another ear infection. Then they made an appointment for him to get TUBES in.
This little guy is so SPECIAL. He is a real FIGHTER and all throughout this horrible ordeal he just stayed so sweet, giving them biggest SMILES and he just has my heart!
