TUACAHN TRIP

August 25-28, 2016

We drove to ST. GEORGE for our ANNUAL TUACAHN TRIP.  This year Me, Mom, Ashley, Paisley, Debbie, Diane and Morgan came. We had a fun time!  We stopped at the Red Barn where we normally would buy an ice cream and fudge. This year Deb and I think Diane just bought fudge.

We went down on Thursday and that evening we saw THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. I loved it! I'm telling you, those people are so talented. We normally see a show every night we are there but we had already seen Tarzan and Peter Pan so we didn't want to see them again.
I hate being in front but I am using my selfie stick! Mom, Deb, Morgan, Diane and Me.

Here I am trying to get all of us with my selfie stick!

                                                               Me and Debbie
Morgan and Diane and a happy photo bomber in the back :)
We sat on the 2nd row, center stage and it was awesome! They give you a cushioned seat and a cold water bottle for Premium seats!  We missed Joyce, Jenny and Jessica this year!

We went to dinner at a horrible Mexican dive. We could not for the life us remember the nummy Mexican restaurant we went to in the past. It wasn't until after we ate that we remembered it was Poncho and Lefty's! Geesh! Then we went to see Rylee play in her Flag Football game. It was so fun to surprise the kids. They didn't know we were coming and Channing was pretty excited to see Grandma Dede. (Debbie)

On Friday we woke up early to go to the ST GEORGE TEMPLE. It was so nice because we were able to take family Italian names with us. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours for Initiatories and then we did a full session. That was pretty cool to do some family names.

                                                        Debbie, Diane and Mom

Then we took lunch to Erin's house and we visited there. We also revealed our DNA tests to each other. We had Ancestry.com take our DNA so we could see where we really came from. It wasn't shocking that we were mostly Italian and Irish but we were from different parts of Europe. The percentages differed greatly between us sisters, but we died laughing and made the funniest jokes from Diane's small percentage (ok, less than 1%) from Africa. There wasn't anybody else with Africa in our genes so we made jokes saying she really was adopted!
                                                                Blair and Paisley

That night we went to eat at the BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT! It's going to become a tradition for us to eat here every year! It was called Chef Alfredo's. It was authentic Italian and it is in a little tiny house that looks like it would be a total dive. But it was delicious!

Ashley and Morgan this Ravioli and the best sauce I have ever had! Mom said she had the best Eggplant casserole and I have already forgotten what Deb got. Diane loved her Fettuccine Alfredo.

By the look of this orange face, Paisley loved her some Ravioli too!

Afterwards we went back to the hotel and played cards and Tenzie's and laughed at Diane's expense. But she came up with some good ones too! I felt bad that Ashley couldn't play cuz she was putting Paisley to sleep in the next room. I tried to trade places with her but she wouldn't.

Saturday we swam for several hours and then ate at a cute sandwich shop and then went shopping at the Outlets.

                                                     Debbie playing with Paisley
                                                    Channing, Erin, Jackson and Rylee

I gave Rylee and Jackson my underwater camera and they took 100 pics or more of themselves under the water. I knew they would love it! Cuties!

Afterwards we met Tyler and Erin at Anasazi Steakhouse. It was delicious but my goodness we were there for hours! They were very slow and it was disappointing. Last year it was amazing and we had a great time. If we ever go here again we need to do it on a Thursday night like last year instead of a weekend night.
It was fun to see Tyler and Erin. Erin is holding Paisley and Debbie is with them too.

Paisley patiently waiting for our food. She gives loves to her bunny rabbit.
Oh how I love our fondue veggies! Delish!

                                                                   Our big group!
I wanted to put this pic in so I won't forget how much Paisley loved being entertained by Tyler! It was so cute! She was laughing so hard!
Check out the size of this pork chop. We have to cook it on this hot brick. I was so full from my fondue and veggies I only ate like 2 bites!
Me and my sweet baby girl! I loved that Ashley came down with us!

Sunday we drove home and on the way we stopped in Scipio to stretch our legs and let Paisley run around in the PETTING ZOO. She was hilarious! Oh how she loved the goats! I'm so glad I got so much video of her. She just makes me so happy!

We had a fun trip and I cannot wait for next year. We will get to see The Newsies, Mama Mia, and Phantom of the Opera. That will be a fantastic weekend! (If Stefanie is reading this...we will see you there! They are playing The Newsies and I know how much you love it!).
