Each year our office goes all out for HALLOWEEN. This year was no exception! We had to do something easy because we have been so busy with the upcoming Election. So I thought it would be fast and easy to order BEARDS and go with the DUCK DYNASTY theme. It was crazy that it worked out like it did because Dawna looked just like Willie, and Michelle looked like Miss Kay. Thanks to Lytton we had plenty of DUCK DECOYS to decorate with. I went down to Ponds Park and gathered reeds and DUCK TAILS.
This year we had an Open House at work the night we were supposed to decorate so we got a late start on decorating but thankfully it only took us 2 hours to get the job done. We were happy with how it turned out and as usual we had LOTS of visitors coming to see what we did. We had a great time! We were HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!..AND THAT'S A FACT JACK!
I was Uncle Si with my glass of iced tea (coke) and Dawna was Willie
We were happy that our boss, Curtis stopped in to see us, and he was in costume! He was leaving for Hawaii so we were shocked to see him.
I about died when I saw LynnAnn! I had no idea she was dressing up as a DUCK! She made this costume and she did a great job! I loved it!
Michelle made the best Miss Kay. I just sprayed her hair black and she was in perfect character! We made Miss Kay's Kitchen out of the marriage room.
Nancy does our marriage licenses so it was fitting that she wore a camo wedding dress. She was "FIXIN' TO GET HITCHED" all day!
Uncle Si (me) and Willie (Dawna)
Amanda was Korie (Willie's wife). Here are the two of them together.
Amber was Phil. I loved that she got his pose down perfectly!
Miss Kay and Phil are married. They are the parents of Willie. Here they are in Miss Kay's Kitchen.
Group Photo by our DUCK COMMANDER, BUCK COMMANDER SIGN (That's their company's name. They are millionaires from making DUCK CALLS!)
Willie, Si and Phil
It was fun being Uncle Si for the day.
The Decorations:
We put up CAMOUFLAGE vinyl on the wall above our cubicles. We made a marsh out of reeds, cat tails, a camo tarp, and duck decoys. It looked so good in person. This pic does not do it justice!
We had our friend Tony make us this company sign. We put up red wood vinyl on this wall.
We put up Hawaiian skirs and camo vinyl to make duck blinds along our desk walls
We hung Boston and Zach's waders on a coat rack before you go into Miss Kay's Kitchen
Dawna brought in these chairs to complete Miss Kay's Kitchen
Every home needs family pics in it so we put these on Heidi's chicken wire frame with real Duck Dynasty family photos for a finishing touch.
More Miss Kay's Kitchen details. We had Birds Beaks (Bugles) in a jar and Heidi brought her grandma's 1940 cook book that had recipes like Roasted Squirrel and Pigeon, and Game Pie.
We made duck centerpieces over each cubicle. Dawna is so good at this!
Dawna made signs of all the sayings they are known for. Most come from Uncle Si. We used:
Happy, Happy, Happy! from Phil, That's a fact Jack from Si, I'm like an owl, I don't give a hoot! from Si, etc...
We had Sloppy Joes, BBQ Baked Beans, Potato Salad, and other salads that the Auditor's side made for us. It was a fun HALLOWEEN at the CLERK'S OFFICE this year!
