YELLOWSTONE IN SPRING

April 30, 2017

I am so happy we made this spontaneous trip to YELLOWSTONE. It was so great because there were hardly any people there. We got to see things we normally don't get to see when we go in the summer because the parking and it is just too hot and too crowded. Today we didn't have any problem with parking and there were absolutely no crowds! We walked right up and sat on the front row to see OLD FAITHFUL just minutes before it went off. There were only a few Chinese busses which was nice because usually there are tons of busses full of people.

It was a little windy which made it a little chilly but when it didn't blow it was about 55 degrees.

I have to tell you about the encounter we had with the BUFFALO at Fountain Point. We were walking on the walkway, and turned the bend and bam! There were 2 BUFFY'S right there! There was an Asian girl that walked right up to it to take pictures. We were freaking out! Kell video taped the whole thing because we were certain she was going to get rammed! I kept saying, No, no, no! In my Asian accent but she kept getting up close. It would swing its head and stamp its foot and if it didn't have a little jump to get on the boardwalk it would've come after her, I'm sure of it! Then this dumb older lady did the same thing right after her. We decided to go the long way around to avoid the BUFFALO because people, they are WILD ANIMALS. This isn't a petting zoo!  Although it was cool to see it that close up, it was a little too close for my comfort and we weren't taking any chances!

This is as close as I wanted to be to them!

Here we are on the front row of Old Faithful. Not too many people here.

This is steam from the hot pots but with the wind blowing it got us a bit wet. It was like walking through fog.
This is Grand Prismatic Springs that is normally so packed in the summer and look there are only a handful of people.

I love the beauty of this place! I just love coming to YELLOWSTONE and I love that Zach and Kell and the boys love it so much. There is always so much to see and it's a beautiful, peaceful place.
