LUNCH WITH THE GOVERNOR

Aug. 27, 2014

Because Grandma turned 100 YEARS OLD, we all got to have LUNCH WITH GOVERNOR at the CENTURIONS LUNCHEON. It was really, really nice. The food was great, and sat with one of the board member from Council on Aging. He was appointed by the Governor. He got a kick out of Grandma. He and his wife were fun to sit with. When the Governor came around to get his picture with Grandma, he called her Renee. She rolled her eyes and said I guess my name is Renee now! There are 106 CENTURIANS in Utah and 40 of them were at this luncheon. The oldest person in Utah is 110 years old! What a wonderful afternoon we spent with our Grandma Rena!
Ashley took this pic of all of us before we left for the luncheon.

Here Grandma is hob-nobbin with the Governor and First Lady
She must have thought he was pretty funny.
Now she is talking. You can tell by the way she was pointing her hand while she talked.
And then he congratulates her on being 100.
I love this pic of Grandma with the Governor and First Lady.
