COVID CARE CUBICLE

March 2020

OK...Life is getting real weird, real fast! Apparently the WORLD is shutting down because of the CORONA VIRUS. Everyone is starting to panic and it's kind of contagious. So, there are rumors that maybe the County is going to shut down. Curtis decided that we were no longer processing passports, and we can only do marriage by appointment only. Since the temples, and the reception centers closing down we were SO BUSY at work with couples afraid that they wouldn't be able to get married. I performed SO MANY CEREMONY'S and life just feels so weird and a little creepy.

Curtis could tell that the stress level was rising in our office so he made a COVID CARE CUBICLE in the office. He filled it with snacks, chocolate, drinks, etc...he told us to go help ourselves whenever we need a little break. This is small, but it went a long way. It really helped us!

Do you know how precious this stuff is right now? You can't find any of this sanitizer in stores or on the internet. Along with toilet paper, this is a hot commodity right now.

I just cannot believe how odd and weird this all feels. What a crazy wait to start out 2020. Everything about this is just so, so weird!

So...theaters, all sports, including the NBA, concerts, plays, restaurants, just everything... ALL CLOSED! and they won't be having the OLYMPICS this year either...everything is CANCELED!  Oh...and ALL SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED. Everyone is on Home school! There are 3 hour waits at the grocery store and people are hoarding everything! Zach's business can't keep up. It's nuts! And all of the CHURCHES ARE CLOSED! We have church at home and Zach is able to prepare the SACRAMENT for us. This is so crazy but I love this. I love this staying home...so far!

They have asked us to not go in groups more than 10...then they just asked us to practice SOCIAL DISTANCING. They want us all to stay home. They just closed all of the NATIONAL and STATE PARKS.

They are expecting hundreds of thousands of people to die. The WORLD IS SHUTTING DOWN! It makes me feel so bad that people are losing jobs! The economy has crashed and we have never experienced anything like this.  I have never been so thankful for my job...

Well, now fast forward two weeks...I am now working from HOME! I could not be happier! I have just wanted to be HOME for so long! I work harder at home because I don't answer phone calls, or help people at the counter and so my eyes are so strained from working hard on the computer every day...but I'm not complaining. As sad as all of this is...I LOVE BEING HOME!

CHARADES AND A FUN-FILLED DAY

While we were in Idaho visiting Ashley, I taught the kiddo's how to play CHARADES and they thought it was so much fun! We laughed so hard (Me and Grandma Shirley) that we about peed our pants when my Mom was acting like she was playing Hopscotch. She can hardly jump and she reminded me so much of my Grandma when she was like 95. We laughed and laughed. This is a memory I don't ever want to forget. I love her laugh when she can't control it, it just cracks me up!

 I'm not sure what she was acting out in this photo but she was a complete crack up!

 Ashley was being an airplane...I love that she's got a cute little passenger!

I love playing GAMES and this really was fun. We just made up whatever we wanted to act out and we had a good time!

 I loved that Ashley had the kids make this for me! I treasure things like this with their cute little toe prints!

 We gave Remington this old canteen and he went nuts over it! This kid sure loves shooting the bad guys!

 The kids made this maze out of their gymnastic mats and it was really hard! We had to go in the dark to find our way out. These pics were taken in the pitch dark!

We had to get help from Paisley and Remi to find out way out!! They did such a great job!

CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN WITH THE BASTIAN KIDDO'S

While we were in Idaho I wanted to make some  CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN FUN with the Bastian kiddo's. Oh! And it was fun! We dipped lots of FRUIT and we ate a lot of CHOCOLATE. The kids thought it was the best time! I sure love doing FUN things with them. I wish I could be with them more. I enjoy every minute when I'm with them and like I always say, they smother me with loves and kisses and I love it so much! This time when I was leaving Remi just cried. It always breaks my heart when they cry when I have to leave. I love these little sweeties so much!

BRANDING COWS

I was up in Idaho visiting Ashley and we ran down to the FARM where they were BRANDING COWS. We didn't stay long like we usually do, but I just snapped a few photos for Lytton so we could remember. This year they didn't use as many neighbors to help out because they had a bunch of kids from the Single Adult Ward, where Lynn is in the Bishopbric. They all wanted to come out and help so I didn't know most of them. I always enjoy watching them BRAND COWS!

WAYLON'S 6TH BIRTHDAY

Waylon didn't get to have a BIRTHDAY PARTY this year because of this stinkin' Corona Virus! But we sure had a great day CELEBRATING him! He is just so cute and I love him so much! A few weeks ago he sat down with me and he told me exactly what he was really hoping to get for his BIRTHDAY. So of course I immediately bought it for him off of Amazon. You aren't going to believe what he wanted more than anything...a BUCCANEER'S FLAG! That's his favorite NBA team. Isn't that so funny? He was thrilled to pieces when he opened that on his BIRTHDAY!

Mikell made him a from scratch BIRTHDAY CAKE with a BUCCANEERS CAKE TOPPER.

Grandma Melanie and Papa came over for CAKE AND ICE CREAM and WAYLON was as happy as could be. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET WAYLON!

 Mikell made a really good cake from scratch and she ordered this edible topper online. Waylon was ecstatic when he saw his BUCCANEER'S CAKE!

 The kids get the biggest kick out of getting a handmade birthday card from Grandma Shirley. She always makes up a big number that they are turning for their birthday. This year she wished him a Happy 48th B-day. Silly Grandma!
