CELEBRATING 99 YEARS

Even though BIG GRANDMA'S birthday is Aug 5th. We always CELEBRATE it when we do our TUACAHN trip. It is TRADITION to go to TEXAS ROADHOUSE and having BIG GRANDMA and ASHLEY sit on the SADDLE while everyone yells out a big YEEHAW! This year was no exception, everyone around us was shocked when they said she was 99 years old! She didn't get in the SADDLE this year, but stood next to it. She was so happy! She is such a good sport when everyone makes a big deal over her age.

SWIMMING IN ST GEORGE

One of my favorite things to do when we make our trip to ST GEORGE is our day of  SWIMMING. I usually do the OLYMPICS, but I didn't this year. We didn't do our SYNCHRONIZED SWIM ROUTINE, and I didn't do my special SEA WORLD SPECIAL, but this year we PLAYED with the KIDS and my favorite part was using my UNDERWATER CAMERA AND VIDEO CAMERA. I was so excited about what great pictures it took! Jackson and I had a really fun time playing with it. Another awesome thing for me was seeing Boston's SMILING FACE as he jumped to Mikell or me over and over and over. He loved it!

TUACHAN 2013

Aug 23-24, 2013

TUACHAN was kind of a disappointment this year. Probably the worst we've seen in all the years we've gone there. We really missed Joyce and Jenny this year and hope they never miss another year!We saw MARY POPPINS...we were kind of bored in the first half and then enjoyed the second half. STARLIGHT EXPRESS was a lot more entertaining but again I got a little bored of it too. Some of our group didn't like it at all. The best thing about TUACAHN this year was when they made a big deal of BIG GRANDMA turning 99 years old! I had asked them to wish her a HAPPY 99TH BIRTHDAY when they opened the show and they did much more than that. When they scanned my ticket they said is RENA HOBBS with you? I said, "yes she is!" They had a little sign wishing her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and they gave her a GIFT. A t-shirt that said "SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS" or however you spell it. A t-shirt from Mary Poppins. They also gave her a TUACHAN BIG CANDY BAR and they had everyone sign a really nice CARD for her. Of course they announced it to the audience and GRANDMA stood up and kept saying, "thank you, thank you, everyone!"  It was so cute. She loved it! During intermission one of the ushers came over to talk to us and was so cute with Grandma. It was so great that they would do that for GRANDMA!

THE WITTWER CABIN

Aug 22-23, 2013

Tyler and Erin were so nice to invite us to stay at their family CABIN while we were in town for TUACAHN. We drove to PINE VALLEY and can I just tell you...OH. MY. GOSH! This CABIN was HUGE! It was so nice and roomy and it was so awesome to be there with a lot of my FAMILY. There was a lot of people but you never felt cramped because this CABIN is so spacious. We had really good FOOD (thanks to Erin's awesome planning) and we had FUN playing GAMES.  When we woke up the next morning it was RAINING and the POWER WENT OUT! Erin blamed it on me and my bad luck! We still had fun though. Tyler took us on the 4-WHEELER and we played more GAMES. We left when it was time to get ready for our TUACAHN play, MARY POPPINS. Thanks to the WITTWER'S for sharing their CABIN. We had a great time!

 Big Grandma-99, Rylee-4  It was so cute to listen to the two of them talk and carry on a great conversation. Grandma is so cute with the little kids. Rylee is such a sweet little girl.

 We had great food while there. This is just one nummy food item. This chicken was marinated to divineness!

 We played Headbandz in one area while the others played cards in the kitchen area.

 I played trucks for a long time with Boston and Channing. Don't judge me, this was taken after I just woke up.

 The kids wanted a ride on the 4 wheeler even though it was raining. Boston and Jackson wearing the helmets but Boston started crying when Tyler turned on the 4 wheeler. It was too noisy for Boston. He was afraid it was going to "eat him". He refused a ride.
