Southern Food Fills the Soul, and the Belly :)

The Southern part of my genes were craving some fried okra, grits, and dumplings. So Ash and I went to CRACKER BARRELL to get my fill! Ashley and I played the pegs game and neither very good at it...in fact we were rated as IMBECILES!!

A Little Pampering with the Family

I was in desperate need of a pedicure, and Debbie had given Mom and Grandma pedicure gift certificates for Christmas so we all went to Michelle's and got a nice hot soak, a wonderful foot and leg massage, and then our toes painted cute. It feels so good to get a little pampering! What was even more fun was that I sat next to a girl that had gone to West High and we knew all the same people! We had a great time talking and then come to find out that the owners husband, Bruce went to West High and graduated the year before me and we knew all the same people! It was like a Mini-High School Reunion! So much fun!

I'm So Frustrated

I need all of your BLOGGING EXPERTISE! I am so FRUSTRATED that I don't know how to do certain things with these blogs. Please help me! Ok here are my problems:
1. How do I post on my old blog to let everyone know I have changed my blog address? Everytime I post on my old blog it goes to my new blog only! So I end up deleting it. Uggh! I am SO IRRITATED with it! It still shows on certain peoples blogs that I have not posted a blog in 2 years! I don't want to delete that blog though. What can I do?
2. My old blog would show the name of a new post under peoples names when they updated their blog. Now I don't know how to get my new blog to do that. So the only way I know people have updated their blogs is if they email me (which only family does that) so I just have to keep clicking on theirs to see if they have updated. How do I fix that?
3. I want cute fonts on my blog but don't know how to get or use them (Erin you never sent me the site from Marci's) and if I had the site for the fonts I don't know how to download them to mine.
4. I want to add certain "buttons" to my page from other blogs and I don't know how!

Can anyone help me? I know you can! It would be SO MUCH APPRECIATED if you could!

I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE!

I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE!  I look forward to it every six months. This weekend was no exception. I really enjoyed it. I am so THANKFUL to have a LIVING PROPHET and APOSTLES on the face of the earth today to GUIDE and DIRECT us and to help us to stay focused on what's most IMPORTANT! Although all of the talks were awesome, I think I really enjoyed ELDER SCOTT'S talk most about his wife and I really enjoyed his personal examples of his marriage, and how they would do sweet things for each other. I love stuff like that.

I felt that the overlying theme of this conference was SERVICE. We need to forget ourselves and help those in need and I loved it when they said we would get an answer to our prayers while we are serving others. "Most prayers are not answered on our knees, but when we're on our feet!" I love that! So...I will make it a personal goal to give more service.

I look forward to the talks printed in the Ensign next month so I can study them. I am so THANKFUL for
MY MEMBERSHIP IN THE CHURCH OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS!

CRAZY KOREAN TEA AND ACCUPUNCTURE

So I have been DIZZY for 3 weeks now and the past week has been AWFUL! I mean SPINNING 24/7. I haven't been able to get off the couch since Wednesday except to pee and to go to the ACCUPUNCTURE Doctor! I know I usually am not into that type of medicine, but since the medical doctors can't seem to figure out what's wrong with me, my mom told me to try this Korean doctor, Dr. Kim a try. He helped Ray's painful legs a lot! So, I am desperate to get well so I thought what the heck? What do I have to lose? So I went on Thursday to see him and I was impressed! He grabbed my wrist and started feeling it and telling me things that were totally RIGHT ON! AMAZING! For example, he said, "Why don't you eat meat? You need to eat meat. Well, the truth is, I'm not crazy about meat. I really have to be in the mood for steak, or chicken. I'm just not a meat lover and he knew it! Then he said you have back pain on left side, its your left kidney...its not working so well! OH. MY. GOSH! My left kidney has been bothering me for several weeks now! He then proceeded to tell me I was STRESSED OUT and the my BODY WAS TIRED! I know I do too much and I need to slow it down. Then he said my heart was fine and then he I got on the table and he put in some needles in my feet, kind of by my thumb and my head. It didn't even hurt!! I laid there for about an hour and it was over....I was disappointed because it didn't MIRACULOUSLY HEAL ME like I was praying for. He told me to come back on Saturday. I figured it was worth another try especially after how sick I have been! So today is Saturday and me, mom and Ash drove out there and this time he said he thinks my dizziness is coming from my liver and my heart needs more energy. So he stuck needles in my pinky toe, both legs, and my head...again NO PAIN! :)  Then he went out and arm wrestled Ashley. He kept saying in his broken English, You so STRONG! Your mom is WEAK! I yelled out, Hey! I heard that!!  He really liked Ashley. He said Your face is GOOD! :)  Then when I was done with my treatment he said I make you some medicine to give your heart energy. You need more hormone and blood flow to the heart for energy. So he hands me this plastic pouch. He kept telling me it was made of DEER HORN! at least that is what I thought he was saying and then he handed it to me and sure enough it was made of DEER HORN! SICK! He made me drink the WHOLE thing right there in front of him! GAG! It was made of deer horn, leaves, roots, and seeds. I kept thinking to myself. You cannot throw this up! You are on the Amazing Race and you have to drink this so you can move on! (I know I'm wierd!) Anyways, I drank it and it was nasty and he said I have to drink another one tonight and then two on Sunday and two on Monday! Are you KIDDING ME? So I came home from after my card party at Grandma's and was putting it off till it got really late and Ash just said hurry Mom just get it over with. I drank it and gagged the last little swallow and threw it up...just the last swallow. Oh my gosh! How am I going to do this 4 more times? Don't think I'm a big baby. Have you ever drank DEER HORN???  The only reason I will continue drinking it and will go visit him for another accupuncture treatment on Monday is because when I left his office today I actually felt BETTER! I am still dizzy but not spinning!!!!  So I hope that I will continue to improve because I can't handle this much longer and I do not want to miss more work!!  Enjoy the pics...please notice the packaging...it has a DEER on it. GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

So its tradition that the Girls go out on Conference Weekend while the guys are at the Priesthood Session. We usually go to dinner and then to Deseret Book to win FREE PRIZES! Well, we decided to switch it up a bit and go to dinner and then back to Big Grandma's for a game of cards. We had a good time. We ate at Paradise Bakery (they have the best Tomato Soup and Chocolate Chip Cookies!!) then we went to Grandma's and played GARBAGE. Now by the looks of the pics it may look like we were playing STRIP GARBAGE...and I was losing BUT WE WEREN'T! Grandma's house was 86 DEGREES! She had her thermostat pushed as far to the right as it could go 90 plus degrees! So I had to ditch the sweater and soon Mom and Debbie followed! I know it looks funny with my GARMENTS hanging out but it was a matter of survival! I was so happy that Ash had come up for Conference Weekend. I MISS HER SO BAD!
I had a fun time. It was the first time I felt half human in the past 3 weeks! I have been SO DIZZY! But tonight I felt dizzy but not SPINNING! I hope it lasts! But I had a fun night tonight. It was nice to get off the couch!
