Feeding Horses is Bad for My Health!

Since my Dad and Mona are cruising in the Carribbean, I am taking over the chores of feeding the animals. I didn't think I'd mind one single bit because they have been SO helpful to me and Ashley by feeding her horse, Lucky, while she is in Las Vegas. So today was my first day of the 2 a day feedings. Let me tell you how my day started...

I woke up at 5:00 a.m. (Because I now have to work at 7:00, 10 hour days)...anyway...after I showered and got ready for work, I drove to my Dad's house and as soon as I got out and proceeded to walk up to the front door I SLIPPED on the ice, and I did the the full ARM FLAILING, FOOT SHUFFLING, trying to keep my BALANCE DANCE and I SUCKED AT IT! I FELL so HARD! I fell so hard I broke my Dad's solar light lamp thingy on the corner of the grass...(Sorry Dad!) that wasn't all...As I tried to get back up (oh my aching back, leg, side, arm, wrist, hand, etc...) I STOOD for about 1 second, before FALLING back down again! Of course I kept looking around to see if someone was video taping this so we could $10,000 on America's Funniest Home Videos, but I couldn't see really well because it was PITCH DARK and the WIND was blowing so hard my HAIR was plastered to the front of my face and I couldn't SEE a single thing! I FINALLY made it to the front door and got in to feed the fish, and then out to feed the cats, and as I proceeded to the BARN the wind began to howl and my once great hair day turned into a nightmare. I looked like I had POOFY 80's hair...oh back to the story...I gave the horse his cup of OATS and then his HAY. That little STINKER! Just as I was putting his hay into his feeder he BLEW HIS LIPS right in front of me (You know the way Steven makes horse noises in the back of my PONY TAILS!) and sprayed hay all over me! My sweater was covered in little bits of hay that I picked out ALL DAY LONG at work. On the way back to the car I had to walk through the snow and my black shoes have a hole in the bottom of them so my SOCKS were DRENCHED for an hour at work. The good part is that I made it to work on time but it looked like I had been in a tornado and everytime I moved in my chair by ACHING BODY reminded me of how FEEDING HORSES IS BAD FOR MY HEALTH!

RED ROCK...IN NEVADA

I drove with Tanner, Mason and Graham to Vegas over President's weekend to visit Ashley, and Bill and his family. Zach and Mikell would be with her family in St. George. One of the fun things we did was we went HIKING at RED ROCK. It was so BEAUTIFUL!! Of course I took a TON of PICS but I'll only post a few. It was SO nice to get out and get some great EXERCISE.

THE STUPID CUPID CLUB

We all know that Valentine's Day is for LOVERS however, for those of us that are SINGLE its just SINGLE'S AWARENESS DAY! Debbie called me at work and asked if I would like to go to her house for dinner. Diane would join us. She made the BEST ITALIAN dish! It was from the CAKE BOSS, BUDDY! He of course is my latest favorite! I watch his show every Monday night and now he does a show every afternoon on TLC and its called KITCHEN BOSS. He teaches you how to make his FAMILY'S ITALIAN recipes!! She made us ARANCINI and it was DELICIOUS! It honestly tastes just like RICE CAKE but more MOIST! Then some members from her ward dropped by (perfect timing) and gave her a chocolate cake. So of course we ate it for dessert :) We decided to call this evening the STUPID CUPID CLUB!

I was asked by someone at work to make these cookies as gag gifts for V-DAY. Needless to say they were a HIT! Everyone thought they were SO FUNNY!

BEAR LAKE WITH MY BOOK GROUP

I had the most RELAXING and ENJOYABLE weekend with my AMAZING FRIENDS from BOOK GROUP! We went to Cindy Jensen's new cabin and it was AWESOME. Not only was it huge and gorgeous, but what made it so FUN was the INCREDIBLE women I was with. They are all AMAZING! We got there Thursday and we stopped and ate at a Mexican restaurant, CAFE SABOR and there we discussed the SHOCKING NEWS of JERRY SLOAN'S resignation from the UTAH JAZZ! WOW! Totally shocked everyone! That night we discussed a book, PROMISE ME...not that great! Kind of FREAKY actually! Friday we stayed in our PAJAMAS ALL DAY LONG! We watched a really good version of JANE EYRE...of course I cried! Then we discussed that because that was our February book. Oh I forgot to say that we ate, and ate, and talked, talked, ate and oh yeah...ate some more! Later that night we played a fun card game called SALAD, and then watched a VERY FUNNY Comedian, TIM HAWKINS. It was totally clean and just FUNNY! Saturday...well, I was dreading the thoughts of leaving this BEAUTIFUL CABIN! It was just so PEACEFUL and RELAXING! Anyway, we got up and ate a DELICIOUS breakfast and cleaned up. We watched the first season of MODERN FAMILY...HILARIOUS! while we waited for the sheets and towels to wash. Then we headed home. On the way home I had to take NON-DROWSY Dramamine so I wouldn't PUKE! When we got home I was WASTED! I could not keep my eyes open to save my LIFE! I fell asleep in the movie with Judy and I couldn't even drive home! It was horrible! Non-Drowsy my butt! I finally got home and slept till 11:15 Sunday afternoon and was draggin butt all day long! I had such a great weekend!

SUPERBOWL XXXXIV?? PACKERS vs. STEELERS

We had a FUN Sunday! First we had HADLEY'S BLESSING, then the SUPERBOWL and I was so happy that the PACKERS WON!! It was fun to have Stef, John, Erin and Tyler and their kids there to play with. We then CELEBRATED all of the FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS which included: JESSICA, STEF, TYLER, RYLEE, BRODY'S. We were missing MIKELL and STACY but we got the majority. JESSICA made the BEST CUPCAKES EVER! They were RED VELVET with CREAM CHEESE FROSTING and they were SO MOIST! Good job Jessica!

Hadley's Blessing Day

We were SO HAPPY that Stef and John decided to come to UTAH for HADLEY'S BLESSING so we could all enjoy it and to FINALLY meet this darling little BEAUTY! We all met at John's parents house and John gave a beautiful blessing and then afterwards we enjoyed some muffins, and fruit. What a great event this was!
